Saint Raphael
This commissioned piece was especially meaningful to bring to life. Saint Raphael, whose name means “God heals,” is known as the archangel of healing.
In this work, Becky incorporates his staff marked with the symbol of medicine as a reminder of guidance, restoration, and care for both body and soul. The fish he carries represents provision and divine healing, inspired by his role in the story of Tobit, where protection and healing unfold in quiet but powerful ways.
By his side is a loyal dog, often called “man’s best friend,” symbolizing companionship, faithfulness, and the reminder that we are never meant to walk the journey alone.
