The Greatest

Memorialized in Becky Fos' iconic impasto style is the imagery of American troops storming the beaches of Normandy by way of the Higgins Boat on D-Day. The Higgins Boat was created by Andrew Jackson Higgins. The hard-drinking, eccentric New Orleans shipping magnate designed the craft in 1926 as a maneuverable, shallow-draught motor barge for hauling cargo through the Louisiana bayou.
