A beautiful New Orleans moment, captured in a way that feels both spiritual and unmistakably local.
A commissioned painting that captures one of Becky’s favorite sights in the French Quarter: the shadow of Jesus cast behind St. Louis Cathedral, colloquially known as “Touchdown Jesus.”
At night, the statue’s shadow stretches across the back of the cathedral with His arms raised toward Heaven. It’s peaceful, powerful, a little quirky, and completely New Orleans.
Becky especially loved painting the glow and atmosphere of this nighttime scene.
